Landmine Collaborators and Advisors

Benetech’s field validation plan for the explosives sensor is to work with several de-mining groups and to use their existing protocols to acquire statistical data.

  • UNDP – United Nations Development Programme: This organization is often the first agency in the field when hostilities cease and it frequently forms the seed of national organizations such as CMAC below.
  • MAG – Mine Advisory Group: A U.K. based group of de-mining experts with missions in many countries. We have contacts within their Cambodia and Vietnam operations.
  • CMAC – Cambodian Mine Action Group: A national organization that took over from the UN.
  • DTW – Development Technology Workshop: A Cambodian based manufacturing organization of de-mining hardware.
  • Danish De-mining Group and Danish Church Aid: Sri Lankan and Angolan based organizations in field de-mining operations.
  • Norwegian Peoples Aid: Sri Lankan operations with the Indian Army and UNDP.
  • HALO Trust: A U.K. based charity and action group with operations in Cambodia, Sri Lanka and elsewhere in the world.
