Using scientific methods from demography, epidemiology, and mathematical
statistics, the Human Rights group at Benetech transforms information
into knowledge about past and on-going human rights violations. Our
statistical analysis helps societies clarify the truth about their violent
pasts. Our graphs and tables provide strong evidence that violence often
results from policy, not from isolated acts of sadism. With our partners,
we advocate for political and criminal accountability for mass atrocities.
